RNLI WINSCOMBE & DISTRICT BRANCH 5 - 4 - 5 WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE

Health professionals have advised that, to increase our resilience if Covid comes calling, everyone should aim to lose 5 pounds in weight. The scheme is called '5-4-5' so if you have gained a few pounds since March and would like a little encouragement to lose weight you can support the RNLI at the same time. It is very simple, 'Lose five pounds in weight and donate £5-00 to the RNLI'. To take part, please contact Tina (01934-842304) or e-mail meejlfh@gmail.com to obtain the pledge form and start shedding those pounds! Further information may be found on the Pledge Poster below.

Age UK Somerset

We can offer help and advice to older people or families and friends of older people. We have several services including help to complete forms and benefit checks. We have a befriending service and always need volunteers to help us to ensure people are not lonely.

We run Men's cookery classes in Winscombe so get in touch if you need help to get confident in the kitchen. We will run Ladies classes if we have enough interest. We run IT classes every week in Weston Library.

We have an information and advice 'drop in' on the last Tuesday of each month at Winscombe GP Surgery. Angela Prosser will be there from 10am to noon to answer all your questions.

If you want infromation about our other 'drop-ins'in North Somerset please phone 01823 345163 or look on the Age UK website.
If you would like information, support or can offer voluntary help then please phone Community Connect on 01275 888803.
